Washington, D.C. — After the results in Georgia’s Senate races made it clear that Democrats will control the White House and both houses of Congress, Fix Our Senate released the following statement calling on Democrats to move quickly to eliminate the legislative filibuster so they can deliver on the agenda that voters just overwhelmingly swept into power.
“Fix Our Senate congratulates Senators-elect Warnock and Ossoff, incoming Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, and the entire incoming Senate Democratic majority for their clear victory and strong mandate to clean up the messes made by the Trump-McConnell government, take bold steps to restore our democracy, and make meaningful progress to address the major challenges facing our nation,” said Eli Zupnick, spokesman for Fix Our Senate.
