"Senator Feinstein is absolutely wrong about what is happening in the Senate and in her Committee. What Senators McConnell and Graham are doing to jam this nominee through stands in direct opposition to their own ‘McConnell rule,’ represents another clear violation of Senate norms, and should not be treated as a legitimate confirmation process. What we saw this week in the Judiciary Committee could be called many things, but certainly not, as Senator Feinstein claimed, ‘one of the best set of hearings’ in the 27 years she has been in the Senate.
"Senator Feinstein has said that the Senate works perfectly well and that she opposes eliminating the filibuster because ‘if it's not broke, don't fix it.’ These hearings and this confirmation process highlighted just how wrong she is and just how broken the Senate is. It’s time for a change and for Committee leaders who understand what’s at stake and how the Senate needs to be fixed.”
